Last week, KubeCon North America transformed Salt Lake City, Utah, into a vibrant hub of innovation, collaboration, and community as thousands of technologists and adopters of cloud-native computing gathered for the Cloud Native Computing Foundation’s (CNCF) flagship conference. This year’s event showcased cutting-edge advancements in AI, Kubernetes, eBPF, WebAssembly, and more, with keynotes from industry leaders providing insights into the future of cloud-native technologies.

For Instruqt, the event was an incredible opportunity to connect, share, and showcase how our hands-on virtual IT labs are revolutionizing how organizations approach training, product adoption, and lead generation.

Key highlights from KubeCon North America 2024

The vibrancy of the cloud-native software ecosystem

This year’s KubeCon provided a platform for deeper discussions on pivotal topics, such as observability, scalability, and security in cloud-native environments. Attendees gained actionable insights from technical talks and hands-on workshops, emphasizing real-world applications.

Inspiring keynotes

The keynote speeches by Karena Angell of RedHat, Idit Levine of solo.io, Dirk-Peter van Leeuwen of SUSE, and many more explored the intersection of AI and cloud-native computing, emphasizing scalability, security, and innovation in enterprise IT.

Our high-energy booth

Attendees gather at the Instruqt booth promoting 'the flexible hands-on experience' at a tech conference expo hall.

Instruqt partnered with the conference as a Silver Sponsor, hosting live demos, engaging with attendees, and swag, including notebooks, pens, stickers, and exclusive ebooks. Our booth was a hive of activity throughout the event, sparking meaningful conversations and showcasing how hands-on learning drives engagement.

Our customers showcased Instruqt in action

One of the standout moments of KubeCon North America 2024 was seeing our customers bring Instruqt to the real world. Sponsors like Portworx by Pure Storage, SUSE, and Sysdig leveraged Instruqt’s hands-on virtual labs during their workshops and demos. From mastering Kubernetes data management to exploring cloud-native security practices, these sessions demonstrated how interactive labs can effectively engage participants and provide real-world learning experiences.

Workshops

Workshops were a hub of energy, education, and experimentation, and Instruqt-powered sessions were a highlight of the conference. The Mastering Data Management for Kubernetes workshop by Portworx highlighted how organizations can streamline storage solutions within Kubernetes clusters, while SUSE's Rancher Day captivated participants with insights into Kubernetes management. Sysdig and Google hosted a Hands-On Cloud Native Security Workshop, allowing attendees to explore real-world security scenarios in dynamic sandbox environments. These workshops underscored the effectiveness of hands-on labs in fostering practical understanding and technical mastery.
